"Awaken"
God has a dream for every believer and every church that has ever claimed the name of Christ throughout the centuries. 2000 years ago Jesus told John the apostle in: Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. How many churches & how many believers have heard the knock but have never opened the door?
God is calling us to Awaken. He is at the door, knocking. He is going to do something unprecedented in our generation. He has set before us a choice. Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. We can Awaken to the call of God for our lives, or continue to sleep and miss the movement of God in our midst.
Each week throughout this series we will be faced with a challenge to carry through 2012. We will see what a full year devoted to God looks like. Walk with us as we journey up the path to Awaken to God’s plan for this world, for your world.

| Annual Chili Cook-off |
Sunday, January 29th
Join us for a "heated" competition and luncheon immediately following Worship Service. Winner receives a gift certificate to Chili's restaurant and bragging rights. Please sign up to compete or attend, and plan to bring a dish to share.

| Coed Volleyball |
Sunday, February 5th
It's time to start thinking Volleyball. Our friendly church league plays Sunday afternoons and is open to players age 16 and older. Games are set to begin February 5th and continue through the first half of April. No games March 4th and Resurrection Sunday. Sign-up sheet on Welcome Table. Contact Tim Stroupe with questions.

AWAKEN
Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
This is the call of God to Awaken. He has set before us six life changing challenges that will completely revolutionize to way we see everything. Do you dare to take the challenge? Is God worthy of a full year completely devoted to Him? The choice is yours.
The AWAKEN Challenge:
1. Each morning I will demonstrate my love for God by
literally getting on my knees and pledging my Radical
Obedience to God.
2. Once each month I will show my love for others by
Sacrificially Serving someone.
3. This year I will reach out to those who do not know
Jesus and dedicate myself to 3 acts for 3 people.
i. I will pray for God to reveal Himself to them.
ii. I will buy them a Bible.
iii. I will personally share Jesus with
them and invite them to church.
4. Pledge to commit to a tribal community of faith.
In the year to come, Enlist in a Life Group and
Engage in the lives within your faith family.
5. Read through the entire Word of God this year.
6. Pray for the entire world this year.
